Background

Our history is brief but our future is exciting. Founded in 2021; Innovation, Integrity and being InTouch are fundamental values to our organisation. As the original esports team out of Dublin, one of only three professional teams in Ireland, we started our esports journey in the League of Legends. The first step in a journey that has seen us reach out across Northern Europe and now expand into Valorant and start building our Content Team as we set out to build a successful global entertainment business.

Intent on being good citizens in the esports community - as Nativz we aim to advance our esports performance with strong results and build our fanbase through compelling content as we build our streaming capability. Our innovative approach to delivering our operation is about leveraging the opportunities available through Web3 technology, unique for a gaming business in the esports industry. We’ve even got our own virtual arena in the metaverse!

The Role of the Community Intern

Nativz is a start up business wanting to grow and engage an audience to support growth of its clients and the strength of its brand partnerships. This is a new role will support the establishment of an engaged audience across both the esports and NFT communities, maximising engagement through our Virtual Arena and the ever growing Discord Server. 

Reporting into the Social and Content Manager, the Community Intern is initially responsible for building momentum towards bringing in a full-time Community Manager. As Social Media has become the go-to channel for customer care, content curation and branding for modern businesses, there’s a reason why actively engaging in a one-to-one is a top priority. We want you to unearth our potential super fans while making sure everyone is welcomed in an authentic Nativz way.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate success in curating a social community for either themselves or another group, personable in a digital format and able to take people with them.

Main Accountabilities

  • Driving meaningful community engagement primarily in the Nativz Discord Server, making fans welcome and wanting to keep coming back
  • Gathering information and community feedback for internal partners, using this to create tactical plans for the Discord growth and use of the Virtual Arena
  • Crafting and publishing articles, forum posts, and other forms of regular communication to engage the community
  • Identifying a team of moderators to amplify the engagement, co-ordinating availability to give us maximum coverage throughout the day
  • Fostering and maintaining positive relationships with community organisations, fan sites and media
  • With the Social & Content Manager, providing players with an authentic, trusted point of contact and authority for their concerns and interests; responding to their questions and providing solutions wherever possible
  • Planning and running contests, promotions, and live events in-game and on external community platforms
  • Representing the Community Team and its products in a positive, professional manner, internally and externally

Person Specification - Essential Personal Characteristics

  • Attained suitable qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar position or alternatively a background in social media
  • Passionate and articulate with the ability to evaluate the implications of online communications and messages
  • Must have an interest in esports, be abreast with the fast changing nature of social media
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential
  • Working towards are levant degree in either marketing, IT or English is essential
  • Competent with Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Outlook
  • Confident working alongside senior executives
  • Uses initiative with minimal supervision
  • Dedicated to the quality and accuracy of projects from inception to completion
  • Can manage a heavy workload with strict deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Flexible and willing to take on ad-hoc tasks
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Person Specification -Desirable Characteristics

  • Previous experience with crypto currencies (in a personal capacity)
  • Knowledge of the NFT industry
  • Experience in the esports industry OR agency side dealing with the equivalent
  • A good network of connections within the esports, particularly league scene would be desirable
