FAQ'S

DO I HAVE TO HAVE PLAYed IN IRELAND COLLEGIATE?

Our selection criteria is currently being defined but it will certainly require teams to have a min number of players that have been to an Irish University or College.

do i have to LIVE ON the island of IRELAND?

Our preference is that all Academy players, coaches, managers and analysts are residents on the island of Ireland. While scrims will be remote we will have a hybrid blend of remote and in-person development sessions on a monthly basis.

WHEN WILL THE ACADEMY TEAMS BE ANNOUNCED?

Because we are building the Academy from the ground up we're going to recruit players for teams in phases. We expect to recruit for two teams initially and then go again with the next two. The first two games will be chosen based on when the relevant competition commences first and second of the titles offered in the Ireland Esports Collegiate Series.

is there any age minimum or limit?

There is not! We are looking for talent of all ages, however for talent that is 16 or under we will need to get parental consent.

HOW DOES IT WORK FOR INDIVIDUAL GAMES?

We expect to offer a min of three places in the Academy for F1 and EAFC which are the two current game titles that are available to compete in via the Ireland Esports Collegiate Series.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN MIND FOR THE NON-PLAYERS?

Just as much as we want to find talented players we need to develop coaches, managers, analysts and creators. We expect these support roles to be involved in the teams playing the game titles they know. With the Creators we'll have a specific programme to help develop them which will of course include involvement in the Ireland Esports Collegiate Series!
