NLC 2nd Division Mid Spring Split Update

With 10 games played we are now just over halfway through our 2022 NLC 2nd Division Spring Split sitting in second place.

With 10 games played we are now just over halfway through our 2022 NLC 2nd Division Spring Split, sitting at an impressive 7-3 record we claim 2nd place in the standings. The only team ahead of us being our domestic rivals Munster Rugby Gaming, whom we have seen one win and one loss against.

So far it has been a very interesting split. Game-wise we have seen meta changes such as the rise, fall and potential rise again of the Lucian Nami botlane combo. We have also seen some interesting drafts from us in particular, which have secured some important wins and coined the phrase “Demb Draft Diff”. There hasn’t been a dull moment in regard to the competitive environment of NLC 2nd Division – whether it be roster changes, suspensions or the unbeaten Nativz seeing a loss to bottom of the table(at that time) AaB Esport.

We’ve pulled together a Nativz report card, our visual representation, detailing important and comparable stats for our starting roster.

Analysis from the first half of our Sprint Split

Lunddorf established himself as a force to be reckoned with, picking up a 9/1 score in the first game of the season with his coveted soloq pick – Gwen. Following this game, we saw a lot of Gwen bans but that hasn’t stopped our Danish mastermind, he has also provided some great showings. His 10 kill Camille performance or the bringing out of his cloak collector Gangplank build for some weak side gaming being two notable ones.

Sn1lle has played a vital role in Nativz success story so far, whether it be being in the right place at the right time on his Jarvan pick or turning himself into a powerhouse on Karthus. He is also a great communicator, alongside Cl0x he provides our team with on point shot calling in crucial times or asking for an ff when he resets his red buff at minute 1.

Rylle has proved himself to be a calm, composed & collected all rounder who can adapt to many situations. This is reflected in his eight unique champions he has played from the bruiser likes of Irelia to mages such as Orianna, Rylle has demonstrated his ability to adjust his play style to whatever the team needs again and again. This is further solidified by his impressive stats such as only dying 14 times over the 10 games we have played.

Jopa, our 18 year old Croatian carry, has settled into Nativz better than we could have imagined. Since joining he has achieved challenger rank in EUW soloq and transferred these skills to our official matches very well. This is evident in his notable stats across the board such as his impressive 7.29 KDA or his extraordinarily high 8.45 cs/m. He has also birthed the Jhopa meme with multiple dominant performances on his Jhin pick.

The report cards stats do nowhere near justice for our support, Cl0x – maybe next time we need to add max range hooks landed or clutch Zilean ults cast stats to truly demonstrate his contribution to our success. We knew what he was capable of alongside Jopa after seeing them play together at MnM but we believe he’s really brought his A game since joining Nativz and we can’t wait to see how he performs in the latter half of the split.

Nevertheless, even though we currently sit in second place, there is still an entire second half of the split to go. Our Head Coach Demb has said “I am confident we are going to make playoffs, we’ve had some great showings so far and there are more to come. However, we also have lots to work on – areas requiring improvement have been identified and we are working to improve upon them.”

Can we overtake Munster? Will we make playoffs? Will we get promoted to NLC Division 1? We cannot wait to see how the second half of the split goes. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone supporting us on this journey.
